Team Dynamics – working together to get things done

Team dynamics is about working co-operatively, across organisation cultures and boundaries to achieve shared goals.

Within the organisation, staff must work co-operatively together sharing best practices, breaking down departmental barriers, and communicating fully on new initiatives and priorities.  This includes the ability to build on understanding to create dynamic local partnerships to ensure that the organisation really understands and meets the needs of its stakeholders. The additional challenge is managing teams who are virtual and spread across geographical areas.

The overall aims of the course

In this course we will explore how teams develop over time and at which touch points they become both happy and productive. We will also examine which tools team leaders can use to manage productivity, discontent, motivation of team members.

The power of a team is in its diversity of individuals, and that’s also where the challenges sit. It’s human nature to want to surround ourselves by like-minded people, however it’s been proven in time that the best work is done when there is a good mix of different people involved. Put a group of leaders together, and a lot will be argued but little will get done.

A successful team harnesses its diverse strengths to get more of the right tasks achieved on time.
