Writing skills training using AI and online tools

Writing skills just got a whole more interesting. Everyone using ChatGPT or other AI tools (Gemini) as their AI assistant are seeing the benefits. It can save lots of time and enables you to focus on being more strategic.  ChatGPT is pretty good at giving 80% but we all need now to develop our editing, checking and fine-tuning skills before we send our final copies out. Writing is a difficult skill and how you write reveals a lot about your thought processes.

Clear writing indicates clear thinking and this training helps staff to develop their critical thinking skills as well as drafting and editing.

Course content

We take you through the stages of writing 

Stage 1: Plan and prompt     

  • AI prompt: role, hyper, negative or meta prompting
  • Ask deep questions and self-check
  • Align with your target audience

Stage 2: Edit and think critically

  • Structure your lead-in sentence (TL:DR)
  • Paragraphs and topic sentences
  • Edit tone, jargon, connections

Stage 3: Fine tune

  • Check for readability
  • Fine tune words and nuance
  • Discuss with your team, collaborators, partners

What you take away – assessed written tasks

You send us sample of your writing and we will assess and make tracked changes comments to help you understand the areas you need to work on. You take away a version of your text with notes that will help you to adjust your writing. This is the only way to learn and no other training company provides this level of support. 

Format

We will do some fun experiments with AI and use our brains to scrutinise, edit and fine tune our communications. We examine how you can best use AI tools (ChatGPT) to speed up the structuring of your texts and how other online tools can help you to measure the readability of your writing. Our writing skills training will help you to improve with practice and feedback from a trainer. We are the only training company that gives you pre-course writing tasks that we review with ‘tracked changes’ comments and recommendations.
